Composite Encapsulated Insulation
Our CEI grade provides the opportunity to design
insulating packages unlike anything used in conventional furnaces.
Carbon/Carbon composite shells are molded into complex geometries,
fully encapsulating an insulating core of rigidized felt. Graphite
foil also may be sandwiched between the felt layers creating a barrier
to process gas infiltration and convection.
Typical Geometries: Curved Panels,
Stepped Lids, Insulation Support Rings, and Bottom Assemblies.
Features:
 |
Design Flexibility: Unlimited
shapes and sizes can be produced to accommodate customer requirements. |
 |
Robust Construction: The Carbon/Carbon composite
shell protects the insulating core from damage during handling.
CEI is well suited for insulation parts that must be manually
removed from the furnace between thermal cycles or where some
mechanical strength is needed in addition to insulating properties.
