Originally developed for the aerospace
industry, Carbon/Carbon composites have now been recognized to
provide an extremely cost effective solution for furnace fixture
applications. The unique attributes of CCI’s Carbon/Carbon
composites offer important advantages over both metal and graphite
fixtures.
CCI’s
manufacturing technology allows a wide variety of sizes and geometries
to be fabricated.
We would welcome the opportunity to discuss which grade is best
suited to your application.
Features:
 |
Negligible Thermal Deformation:
Unlike metal fixtures, which twist and warp over time, Carbon/Carbon composites will
remain flat and actually increase in strength at elevated temperatures.
You reduce scrap and maintain tighter part tolerances. |
 |
Low Thermal Mass: The high strength to weight
ratio and low specific heat of Carbon/Carbon composites allow you to load more parts
in each furnace and reduce the cycle time. |
 |
Excellent Fracture Resistance: Cracks will
not propagate catastrophically as occurs with molded graphite
fixtures. |
